Assistant Manager, Deli

With rapid growth of North Central Co-op and the expanding business within our co-op, we are currently seeking applications for the position of Assistant Deli Manager.
Reporting to the Deli Manager this highly motivated individual will be responsible for assisting with the management of day to day operation of the Deli Department with in our new food store opening in the community of Chappelle, located in the city of Edmonton.

Primary Job Functions:
  • Assists with directing the day-to-day operations of the deli department
  • Ensures customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient
  • Ensures product is presented and displayed to achieve maximum sales and profitability
  • Assists with controlling inventory levels by ordering weekly and following correct stock rotation
  • Assists with ensuring seasonal and promotional merchandising is planned and executed to achieve maximum sales, profitability and customer excitement
  • Receives and completes customer deli/a La Carte orders
  • Ensures all Health and Safety procedures are followed
  • Ensures there is positive, friendly and proactive interactions with all internal and external customers
  • Has the ability to hold all interests within the Co-op with integrity and keeping all standards at the upmost importance

Required Skills:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in industry specific Supervisory role
  • Strong commitment to customer service
  • Excellent communication and strong motivational skills
  • Good delegation skills with a focus on customer service
  • Good computer skills
